I have two of these chargers aboard my boat. They are fully electronic and not tranformer based technology. The charger balances the bank by feeding the lowest battery more charge and bringing them to absorption mode at the same time. Even if you have another charging source, like solar, or an inverter charger that is charging at 54 volts, your boat would benefit from having an occasional charge with this charger to balance the batteries in your bank. There is no better charger available for battery bank balancing. Two chargers will work in parallel together for faster charging. |
